Get it Together
Together
Our Philosophy
Real Talk for Men. Founded by counsellors Joseph Madden and Ali Cohen Jones, our work is built on these simple ideas:
Relationships are difficult. Work, friends, women, and strangers don’t always do what you expect. Why? We work with you to figure out the why. Together.
Understand Yourself: Learn how feelings act as signals that shape our decisions. Recognise conflict and better ways to deal with pressure.
See Patterns: Name and think about feelings in real time, changing automatic reactions into conscious choices.
Say What You Mean: Engage in honest dialogue about what really matters, from relationships to work.
We combine psychological insight with practical focus. Change doesn’t come from sticking to social pressures. We collaborate with you to find ways to do things differently.
Real Talk - What We Do
We run men’s talking groups.
Men sit in a room together and talk.
You talk about what’s happening in your life, your relationships, work, stress, and day-to-day frustrations, instead of ignoring them or dealing with them alone.
By speaking out to other men and getting honest, direct feedback, you stop running on autopilot, break unhelpful patterns, and figure out how to handle things differently.
-
8 weekly sessions, lasting 90 minutes each, kept small (6–10 men) to ensure an intimate, meaningful, and discreet environment.
-
Co-led by Ali and Joe, a male/female facilitator pair designed to manage conflict, promote authentic communication, and explore real world relational dynamics.
-
Learn the difference between a feeling and a reaction. Feelings don't vanish, but you have a choice. Your perspective might change, or it might stay the same, but what you do about it shifts.
About Us
We built Real Talk because we saw a massive blind spot in society. Why do men often feel sidelined, or feel like the world is spinning out of control? Awareness campaigns and wellness slogans are a great start, but what happens when it’s too difficult to ask for help? We aren't detached observers; we know, both personally and professionally, how vital honesty is when you're trying to get your life together.
Ali's husband tragically took his own life following an affair, and Joe has navigated the realities of male isolation and addiction. We bring our whole human experience alongside our professional training.
Our work is rooted in a simple truth: we’re all different, and difference needs space to be explored. That's why our groups are co-led as a male/female pair. Having both of us in the room creates a "live" bridge, allowing men to experiment with real-world dynamics—the pressure, the conflict, the desire, and the things we feel ashamed about. Through this, members can step back out into their relationships and careers with clarity, freedom, and fulfillment.
We work online, in person and outdoors and on foot in London.

Results in days, not quarters.
